Miyake & Partners is an integrated law firm having approximately 30 attorneys established in 1938 in Kitahama, Osaka, and this firm has been expanding its services throughout all legal fields, such as intellectual property cases, individuals’ cases or China related cases, mainly in corporate legal affairs.

Our mission is to provide prompt and high quality services and to always seek added values according to a broad range of needs from clients. We diligently strive to have close communication with clients and focus upon a proposal type approach, and our focus is to maximize the client’s assets by adopting a goal proposal orientated approach.

In our application-related services, we will help to develop or mine an invention or trademark, which has prospective rights for the client inventor, extending to an intellectual property right in Japan and foreign countries, and to assist with establishing more valuable properties and competitive strength. In addition, in a legal venue to exercise a right, such as expert opinions or infringement suits, we have a strategic relationship with Miyake & Partners, which is a legal group. We are well-positioned to fully represent our clients with confidentiality.

Our collaboration of skills conventionally cultivated at patent firms and skills cultivated at law firms enables provision of one-stop service of the intellectual property services from the application process to the exercise of rights.

Information provision

As patent law evolves and becomes ever more complex, we receive an increasing volume of information (search) inquiries. Generally, information provision services are dealt with on a case-by-case basis as a means to prevent other people, entities or competitors from being granted a dubious or overlapping IP rights. We will provide the information provision services with reasonable cost upon consultation.

Summary

Naka International Patent Office was founded in January 1, 2007 by Koichi Naka with the cooperation of Miyake & Partners. Koichi Naka is a patent attorney, who practiced intellectual property law at ASAHINA & CO., which is a time-honored patent firm in the Kansai area, Japan, for three and one-half years, and then supported the foundation and operation of ISHII PATENT OFFICE, which is an emerging patent firm, for ten years as a deputy director.
